Universal Function Test System for Industrial Electronics

General functional test system based on LXI instrumentation for high mix / low to medium volume manufacturing. DUTs are tested which are mainly used as communication and measurement modules in power plant technology, grid management and electrical drives.The system has a Virginia Panel adapter interface to which various desk adapters can be docked, including automated contacting of the DUTs. A camera for the verification of light emitting diodes on the test object is integrated in the adapter interface.

Power Distributions

LXinstruments Power Distribution Units (PDU) provide all of the functionality required to power a test system in a compact 19-inch rack. This means that devices can be supplied with both mains voltage and DC voltage. With the soft-on-off function, the PDU can be controlled remotely via remote buttons and other potential-free contacts. We carry single-phase devices for the 16 A connection to three-phase devices for the 3x63 A or for the 125 A connection.

The ergonomic design ensures fatigue-free operation even during repetitive work sequences. Equipped with all safety-relevant functions, such as safety switch and locking of the hood cover during the test sequence, the operator is optimally protected at all times.The interchangeable adapter plate within the test cell allows quick adaptation for different test conditions and test situations.

Electronic Loads/Sinks

An electronic load offers the possibility of testing the specimen under different loads. Various load changes are simulated, as they can occur in normal operation. For this purpose, the relevant load current is set in a defined range and electronically controlled. For the test, different operating states are either programmed or entered into the system via an interface (USB, RS-232, GPIB...). For easy handling and quick use, there are four operating modes.

LXinstruments Magpie 2 is a further developed evaluation and data mining application for our test database. The data to be evaluated can be preselected using complex, easily configurable filters. Based on the selected data, reports and trend analyzes can then be created and statistical studies, machine and process capability analyzes carried out. Administration of the database is also easily possible for appropriately authorized users via a graphical user interface.

HV Enclosures with Integrated Safety Test

The HV test hood according to Performance Level e (ISO 13849-1), developed by us according to the EN50191 standard (erection and operation of fixed and temporary electrical test installations), offers the highest safety for the operator. The large test chamber is enclosed with a hood made of sturdy, highly insulating and transparent plastic. During the test, there is a clear view of the test specimen. A signal light visually indicates safe opening when the light is “green”. “Red light” symbolises danger, the hood cannot be opened due to the safety interlock. The safety switch also ensures that the hood cannot be opened during the test. This means that the test hood fulfils all the required specifications for compulsory contact protection.
