As the physical size of Fibre Optic Front End (FOFE) transceivers prohibits their use on PCI, CompactPCI, PMC and ISA (PC/AT) cards, Western Avionics provides an off-card Adapter, that contains all components to support the 3910 Optical implementation of STANAG 3910. The 3910-FOFE Adapter provides a complete dual redundant optical interface, together with dual redundant 3838 connections, and Trigger-in and Trigger-out in a minimal sized package, to allow convenient cabling connections to the 3910 / 3838 system or unit-under-test.
