30 DB Directional Couplers From 0.5 To 40 GHz
Pulsar Microwave's CS30 series single directional couplers operate at narrow and wideband frequencies within 500 MHz to 40 GHz. They have a nominal coupling value of 30 dB, with tolerances of +/- 1 to 1.25 dB. These directional couplers are rated at 50 watts maximum input power. These couplers are optimized for best matching and high directivity with flat coupling response. They come standard with SMA or N female connectors.

Double Balanced Mixers From 0.01 To 6000 MHz
A double balanced mixer (DBM) employs the use of a well matched quad-diode ring with two balanced transformers. Because of this, a DBM enjoys the inherent advantage of high port to port isolation. The IF port in Pulsar's DBM design is DC coupled to the diodes.

High Power Single And Dual Directional Couplers
Pulsar Microwave manufactures a line of single and dual directional couplers specifically designed for high power operation. There are various narrow and broadband designs from 0.1 MHz to 10 GHz. These directional couplers come in standard values of 30, 35, 40 and 50 dB with coupling tolerance of +/- 1 dB.The high power directional couplers have low insertion loss. Coupling flatness is maintained at +/- 1 dB or less among models. Most units hold a mainline VSWR of 1.2:1 or better throughout the operating frequency range. Pulsar Microwave has designs up to 2.5 kW input power. Typical directivity is 20 dB or more.Standard outlines are available with SMA or N type female connectors. For higher power ratings, typically the mainline will use N connectors with SMA on the coupled ports.

SP1T RF Pin Diode Switches To 18 GHz
Pulsar Microwave manufactures pin diode RF switches that are controlled by TTL logic. This configuration is known as single pole, single throw and is often abbreviated SPST or SP1T. They have been engineered to function in 50-ohm systems, and are designed to operate from 40 MHz to 18 GHz. They have a switching time of 100 nanoseconds and input power rating of 200 mW (23 dBm). Performance of 1.6:1 or better VSWR and minimum isolation of 60 dB is typical of most models. All switches of this type require both +5VDC and -5VDC to operate. Typical current consumption is +/- 30 mA. TTL control logic of 0 to +5VDC is required. Units comes standard with SMA connectors.

Single Sideband IQ Modulators To 16 GHz
Single Sideband Modulators incorporate a 90° hybrid, 2-way 0° divider and two mixers to produce either an upper (RF + IF) or lower (RF - IF) sideband when driven by a carrier signal and modulation input signal. Depending on the phase relationship of the signals injected into the MOD.I and MOD.Q ports, the modulator will pass either the upper or lower sideband through to the output while rejecting the other.

Voltage Controlled Phase Shifters To 3200 MHz
Pulsar's Voltage Controlled Phase shifters utilize a DC voltage to control the phase of the RF signal applied. These phase shifters utilize varactor diodes to produce the necessary phase requirements. Phase of the 180 and 360 degree designs are available, and phase can be controlled with a DC voltage 0-20 Vdc. Modulation of these phase shifters is typically 100 kHz, and maximum input power is +5 dBm.A wide variety of package styles are available, such as plug-in, flatpack, TO-cans, and connectorized housings, though the most popular are the miniature surface mount packages. Surface mount packages are available on tape and reel, for automated assembly techniques.

10-16 DB Directional Couplers From 0.5 To 50 GHz
Single directional couplers within this series operate from 0.5 MHz to 50 GHz and are available in standard values of 10, 13 and 16 dB. They fulfill narrow and broadband requirements with coupling tolerances of +/- 1 to 1.25 dB. These couplers are optimized for best matching and high directivity with flat coupling response.

Frequency Doublers To 12 GHz
Pulsar Microwave Frequency Doublers utilize Schottky diodes in a bridge configuration to accomplish the frequency doubling. The input frequency operates from 0.2 to 6000 MHz. Frequency Quadruplers are also available using using this topology. Designs are matched to 50 Ohms and are available in a wide variety of package styles, such as plug-in, flatpack, and connectorized housings. Miniature surface mount packages are the most popular style, and are readily available on tape and reel for use in automated assembly applications.

SP4T RF Pin Diode Switches To 16 GHz
The 4-way series of absorptive and reflective switches operate from 100 MHz to 16 GHz. They are rated at 200 mW maximum input power and have a switching time of 100 ns. SP4T switches that operate up to 8 GHz have a maximum VSWR of 1.6:1 and minimum isolation of 60 dB. All absorptive and reflective switches manufactured by Pulsar Microwave require both positive and negative 5-volt supplies. Additionally, the TTL control logic operates from 0 to +5 VDC. Voltage connection is made with feed thru terminals. Ground connection is made through the chassis and turret terminals.

Voltage Controlled Linearized Attenuators To 16 GHz
Pulsar's voltage controlled, PIN diode linearized attenuators are available from 0.25-16 GHz with attenuation ranges of 32 and 64 dB. Each model includes an integrated linearizer, and a driver that controls the attenuation level. This design results in transient free switching between attenuation levels as opposed to the spurious outputs that result when an attenuation value is switched either on or off by a direct digitally controlled attenuator. Transfer function is 8 dB / Volt.
