Diesel Fleet Maintenance Chassis Dynamometer
MD-7500
At the heart of the MD-7500 is a set of three air-cooled eddy current power absorbers. Each absorber, or brake, can hold up to 600-hp (total power of 1,800-hp) more than enough to simulate a fully loaded transit bus. As the systems PAU''s (brakes) are air-cooled, no water is required to or from the device eliminating the high cost of water consumption and/or the cost of an expensive water recovery system which can sometimes exceed the cost of the dynamometer system itself. Mustang is the only company that offers a Universal Fleet Test Bed without water supply requirements.

MD-ASM-150-AWD (4×4)
The MD-ASM-150-AWD (4×4) tests both axles of the test vehicle under the same imposed load; while at the same time providing for front-to-rear axle speed synchronization. Front-to-back roller speed synchronization protects AWD center differentials, provides for a means to safely test 2WD vehicles with traction control, and allows for testing to be performed under real-world load conditions. The MD-ASM-150-AWD (4×4) accommodates wheelbases from 86 to 128 inches (218 – 325 cm) without moving parts.

The 150 portable includes a pallet jack modification on one end of the frame and two bottle jacks on the other allow you to move this dyno in your shop. The portability kit lets you free up space as needed. The portable 150 is ideal for smaller shops, schools and outdoor events. There is no need to secure the unit to the ground – simply lower the unit onto the ground, hook up the light-weight composite ramps and start testing. The MD-250-HD was designed to be a performance dynamometer first, with the added benefit of being able to test 2-wheel-drive heavy-duty vehicles such as truck, buses and commercial vehicles. With ultra-low inertia and a powerful 625-hp PAU, the MD-150 is a perfect combination of power and finesse – capable of handling most sport compact applications with ease. The 1200-hp measurement capacity means you’ll have no problem pulling horsepower sweeps with this low-profile dyno. The MD-150 is best suited for real-time, steady state tuning of stand-alone engine management systems such as Autronic, MoTeC, Accel DFI, F.A.S.T., AEM, Haltech and the like. From a dynamometer stand-point, the main focus of real-time programming is dynamometer sensitivity, resolution, and set-point stability. The MD-150’s ultra-low inertia design and high speed controller maximize the user’s experience by minimizing controller “wondering” and enhancing system control – simply dial in a speed and let the MD-150 take over. Add timing and watch torque increase right on the dynamometer screen in real-time until you have optimized engine timing and fuel mixture.

Portable Dynamometers
Perfect solution for shops with limited space that would like to have a dyno that they can move out of the way when it is not being used. The low profile design and relatively small footprint of the MD-150 makes it ideal for these situations. Mustang has integrated a lift jack like you would see on a standard pallet jack into the frame of the MD-150 and equipped the opposite side of the dyno with retractable heavy-duty casters to make moving the dyno around the shop easy for a single person. Simply roll the dyno into place, plug it in and attach the ramps and you are ready to perform performance tuning and diagnostics testing in minutes.
