Ancillaries - Radiated
EMC emissions can be at very low signal levels and pre-amplifiers can help to improve S/N ratio. The low level of emission signals can make them difficult to identify in noisy environments. RF filters are designed to attenuate the major sources of noise, thus making the task of measurement easier.

Pre-Selectors for EMC test
These Pre-Selectors are high specification, switched band filters which track the scanning of the EMC Analyser. Control is via USB link from the Laplace EMCEngineer software supplied with SA1002 and SA3000 analysers. Installation and operation is completely automatic, and the filters will synchronise with the analyser scan without any operator intervention. A front panel switch allows manual operation if required.

Filter Design System - Mode Analyser
EA-300
The EA-300 is a stand alone unit with internal firmware and a large colour display. It connects to the outputs from a standard LISN and feeds the results to any standard EMC analyser or receiver. The EA-300 prompts the user through the steps necessary to fully characterise the emissions from the EUT, then will output via the screen the recommended filter component values that would reduce these emissions to acceptable levels.

CDNs
In addition to a range of 'conventional' CDNs, Laplace are unique in offering two other types. Both types are 'versatile' in that they are configurable, offering great flexibility in terms of the type of cable each model can be used with. This reduces the number of CDNs necessary to hold in stock. The final type is, in addition to being versatile, fitted with an output which monitors the RF level applied to the cable.

Ultra-Compact Immunity Tester
AXOS8
The AXOS8 is an ultra-compact immunity tester that performs all the most commonly used transient immunity tests, including Surge, EFT, Dips/Interrupts and AC/Surge Magnetic Field. The simplified user interface provides quick selection of tests and test levels, and even lets you change test parameters “on the fly” while running a test.The actual EUT power mains voltage and current are indicated in the display. Using the Electronic-Fuse function, the user can set an upper limit for EUT power mains current. LETIS
Power amplifiers that are universally used for radiated immunity testing either cover the range below 1GHz or the range above 1GHz. This means that if the test requirement extends both sides of this 1GHz point, the power amplifier needs to be changed over. Genrally, this involves three connections... The LETIS handles all these connections automatically. Each is switched via a high performance RF relay under the control of a USB interface. Software issued with the Laplace Synthesisers automatically detects the presence of a LETIS and handles the switching automatically.

Harmonics & Flicker Analyser
AC2000A
The Laplace Harmonics and Flicker analyser provides the user with a complete system for testing product compliance with IEC61000-3-2 and IEC61000-3-3. Quick and easy to use, the built-in screen provides a clear pass/fail indication of compliance status, plus a full listing of results for each harmonic, in either tabular of bargraph format. The instrument is properly configured to cope with fluctuating harmonics. The Flicker mode provides proper measurement of short term and long term parameters, using algorithms specified in IEC61000-4-15. In addition, inrush current measurements can be automated such that the product under test can be automatically cycled on/off with user entered time profiles.

LISN & Voltage Probes
All commercial LISNs include an artificial hand connection and a transient limiter. This adds a 30dB insertion loss. A 30dB pre-amplifier is included which can be connected in the RF output feed to return the insertion loss to 0dB. The Voltage Probe requirement is covered by our PLIP (Power LIne Interference Probe). This fully meets the requirements of CISPR16, but has additional features:*Fully galvanic isolation between input and output (>1kV), for the safety of operator and analyser!*Shrouded safety clips for attachment to the line to be measured.*Filtered frequency response matched to Band A and B.*Current limiting on the output.*Visual indication of high voltage input.

1GHz EMC Emissions Analyser

The SA1002 provides a high performance capability to measure the EMC compliance of your products. It covers the conducted emission and radiated emission bands to 1GHz, as required by most EMC standards. The included software is Windows compatible and simple to use. This powerful system automatically sets the analyser parameters to suit the test to be performed. Standard limits are available from simple pull-down menu. Results can be directly compared against these limits for easy checks on compliance status.

Ancillaries.. Conducted
The ease and effectiveness of conducted emission measurements can be enhanced by the use of appropriate filters. In particular, broadband noise below the frequencies of interest can cause limiting (compression) in spectrum analysers, distorting the measurements.
