AOSense has developed a compact Integrated Laser Controller (ILC) that can be paired with our External Cavity Diode Lasers (ECDLs) to control laser current, piezo transducer (PZT), and temperature. The ultra-low noise electronics are fully digitally controlled. The ILC dimensions are only 5″x2.9″x0.95″. We provide software with an easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI) that can control multiple lasers from a single window. If preferred, commands may be sent over a USB virtual COM port. Wafer bonding has found many applications in the field of MST, MEMS and micro engineering. These include the fabrication of pressure sensors, accelerometers, micro-pumps and other fluid handling devices. The process is also used for first-order packaging of silicon microstructures to isolate package-induced stresses. The OAI AML Wafer Bonder facilitates both the alignment and bonding to be performed in-situ, in a high vacuum chamber. For anodic bonding the wafers are loaded cold and heated in the process chamber. For high accuracy alignment the wafers are aligned and brought into contact only after the process temperature has been reached, thus avoiding differential thermal expansion effects which can compromise alignment. The AML Wafer Bonder is excellent for anodic bonding, silicon direct and thermal compression bonding applications. These features enable the bonder to be used with virtually any processing tool.

Air Amplifiers

Nex Flow® Air amplifiers are compact, low cost air flow “movers” that are virtually maintenance free. Applications include the venting of fumes and smoke, conveying of low weight materials, and entraining a high volume of air to cool, blow off, and dry. Air Amplfiiers use the “Coanda effect” to draw in the surrounding atmosphereic air while consuming only aminimal amount of compressed air. These products can amplify airflow up to 17 times (depending on the size) resulting in dramatcally reduced levels of noise. Air Amplifiers (also called Air Movers) draw in atmospheric air from the back of the unit as well as having downstream entrainment further amplifying the flow. They are used for cooling and venting. While the force produced for blow off decreases as the amplifier outlet diameter increases, these Air Movers are ideal for cooling because of the high velocity outlet fow and and are much more effective for cooling compaed to air nozzles.
