Using preconfigured databases of sweep parameters and pass/fail criteria, the RFCT quickly determines the status of installed RF cables. The RFCT checks each cable’s performance characteristics to include voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR), insertion loss (IL), phase and phase matching. If a cable fails a test, the RFCT automatically determines the distance-to-fault (DTF). Finna Sensors’ Smart III RF Moisture Probe is appropriate in those situations where NIR use on conveying systems/web applications or RF flat plate sensor use on board type products are not sufficient.
