Clock and Trigger Distribution Card

The clock and trigger distribution card is a simple and passive component that allows to synchronize several systems externally. No programming is necessary. A clock can be fed in from an external device or as an option an internal clock oscillator can be equipped by the factory. This clock is then also used to synchronize an external trigger signal into the clock domain. Both, clock and synchronized trigger, are then fed into a maximum of 17 different systems. Each system can be a single card or a synchronized set of cards that run with an internal star-hub.

Sector Antennas

A sector antenna is a type of directional microwave antenna with a sector-shaped radiation pattern. The word "sector" is used in the geometric sense; some portion of the circumference of a circle measured in degrees of arc. 60°, 90° and 120° designs are typical, often with a few degrees 'extra' to ensure overlap and mounted in multiples when wider or full-circle coverage is required (see photos below). The largest use of these antennas is as antennas for cell phone base-station sites. They are also used for other types of mobile communications, for example in Wi-Fi networks. They are used for limited-range distances of around 4 to 5 km.

ECM P/N 5033 provides eight channels of RS485 / RS422 I/O. The 110 ohm termination for each channel is enabled or disabled in software. Disabling termination saves power by eliminating unneeded or redundant termination. Speeds of up to 20 Mega bits per second are possible, but this design also features a 250K bits per second slower edge rate mode. The 250K bit mode is valuable when EMI is more of a concern and throughput is not important. All channels power up as inputs with the outputs disabled.

Dual polarized horn antennas are offered as both standard and custom models with rectangular waveguide interfaces for both horizontal and vertical ports. These dual polarized horn antennas support both linear and elliptical polarized waveforms. When the antenna receives a circular polarized waveform, equal amplitude linear polarized waveforms are output at both horizontal and vertical ports. When two equal amplitude linear polarized waveforms are input into the vertical and horizontal ports, the antenna will transmit a circular polarized waveform. The listed models offer 15 dB nominal gain and 33/28 degrees typical half power beamwidth at the center frequency of the band. They also exhibit 40 dB typical port isolation and 35 dB nominal cross polarization. These antennas cover full waveguide bandwidths within the frequency range of 8.2 to 110 GHz. In this situation, each monitor has a permanent 75 ohm termination. With two non-looping monitors connected together, the line would be double loaded and result in a dim picture on each monitor. The pyramidal gain horns only support linear polarization.
