Strain Sensors
Conventional strain sensors are based on strain gage technology. In order to effectively measure the strain values in a force or load measurement application, a full, 4 element strain gage bridge circuit is utilized. The configuration is known as a Wheatstone Bridge Circuit. A Wheatstone Bridge has a very linear output in it’s midrange. That being considered +100% to -100% of range. Unfortunately, a Wheatstone Bridge becomes non-linear above the upper and lower extremes of range. Therefore, significant errors can result above the end points when attempting to take precision measurements. It is particularly important to take accurate measurements in some R&D or control applications. To avoid the mentioned error issues, PCB manufactures quartz piezoelectric strain sensors that output the same mV/microstrain sensitivity throughout the entire useful range. Thus, accuracy is improved and control requirements are enhanced that may occur at positive extremes of the measurement range. The models RHM240 and model 740B02 series sensors are the strain sensors for these applications.

Mid-Range Gas Filter Correlation Carbon Dioxide Analyzer
Model T360M
The Model T360M CO2 analyzer measures Carbon Dioxide by comparing infrared energy absorbed by a sample to that absorbed by a reference gas according to the Beer-Lambert law. Using a Gas Filter Correlation Wheel, a high-energy IR light source is alternately passed through a CO2 filled chamber and a chamber with no CO2 present. The light path then travels through the sample cell, which has a folded path of 1.28 meters.The energy loss through the sample cell is compared with the reference signal provided by the filter wheel to produce a signal proportional to concentration, with little effect from interfering gases within the sample. This design produces excellent zero and span stability and high signal to noise ratio, allowing excellent performance over a wide concentration range, making this instrument an ideal choice for CO2 reporting requirements associated with dilution CEMS.All T Series instruments offer an advanced color display, capacitive touch screen, intuitive user interface, flexible I/O, and built-in data acquisition capability. The LC-8120/8220 is the GPS-based speedometers which measure speed and distance of moving objects with high accuracy. Support for GLONASS satellite which is not supported in the conventional model (LC-8100A/8200A) to ensure stable measurement. Antenna for LC-8220 (LC-0721) is smaller and lighter than the conventional antenna for LC-8200A (LC-0086) and it enables easy operation. The new antenna (LC-0721) is able to attach to the conventional unit of LC-8200(A) for measurement. The linearity of acceleration and angular speed are improved by using the standard IMU (inertial measurement unit) together with the optional high accuracy IMU. Also, by adding the high response IMU analog output function (option), the analog output frequency of the IMU data can be increased from 100 Hz to 500 Hz. A wide range of optional functions such as white-line detecting function (LC-0856), jerk measurement function (LC-0871) and average deceleration speed calculation (function in the LC-0831) are available for various automotive tests.

Torque Meter Bench
BTR is a desktop torque for torque meas urements consisting of a digital indicator model DTR and a strain gauge torque extremely rugged and compact which has a precision better than 0.20%. Ideal for the calibration and the control of torque keys and to rque screwdrivers. Microprocessor indicator is fed by 4 internal batteries with an autonomy of 200 hours, with the AUTO POWER OFF function which activates if any change in the measurement is detected in an interv al of 30 minutes. The new generation electronic section consists of a particularly long-term stable analogue circuit and of a 16 bits A/D converter which ensures 65.000 internal divisions with an acquisition sp eed of 200 conversions per second. On the display there is an analogue bar for torque, that is still active, even in the programming menu.
