The Keysight 8491A coaxial fixed attenuator provides precision attenuation, flat frequency response and low SWR over broad frequency ranges. The attenuator has type-N connectors and is available in nominal attenuations of 3 dB and 6 dB, as well as 10 dB increments from 10 dB to 60 dB. This attenuator is swept-frequency tested to ensure specification compliance at all frequencies. Calibration points are provided on a nameplate chart attached to each unit.

It offers repeatability of better than 0.03 dB, excellent life (greater than 5 million switching cycles per section) and an attenuation range of 0 to 90 dB in 10-dB steps. This latest design evolution sets new standards for size and performance. High attenuation accuracy and low SWR are achieved through the use of miniature thin-film attenuation cards composed of high-stability tantalum nitride film of saphire substrate. Insertion loss is outstanding, with less than 2 dB of loss at 26.5 GHz. The compact size of the unit, 35 percent smaller than the Keysight 8495/7 (26.5 GHz) family, allows for easy integration into instruments and ATE systems.

The Keysight 8494A, dc to 4 GHz manual step attenuator, offers exceptional repeatability and reliability. Attenuation is provided in 1 dB steps from 0 to 11 dB. Precision gold-plated leaf springs ensure long-life (over 5 million cycles) and very high attenuator repeatability (typically 0.01 dB). To improve measurement accuracy, NIST traceable data (SWR and attenuation) is available as Option UK6. Custom step attenuator/switch combinations are possible. The Keysight 11716A/B/C interconnect kits provide quick connection of Keysight 8494/5/6/7 1 dB and 10 dB step attenuators in series for greater dynamic range with 1 dB steps.

The Keysight 10773A Flatness Mirror is a 100% reflectance mirror that turns the direction of an incoming laser beam 90 degrees. The mirror, used in the 5530 Laser Calibration System, measures flatness in applications such as surface plate calibration. It can be used in place of the 10707A Beam Bender (6 mm or less beam diameter) for applications that require the larger aperture of the 10773A.
