Optical Switch Boxes
An optical switch box is needed so that automated test platforms can permit the system to measure the performance of transmitters and receivers at multiple wavelengths or channels. The MLO4034 Optical Switch Box incorporates a WDM demultiplexer, integrated power meters, variable optical attenuators, and optical switches to form an integrated switch matrix. It enables receivers and transmitters to be tested at up to four wavelengths or channels.

MT7553 Series
Noise Parameters are the non-50Ω extensions of Noise Figure, and are an important modeling and model validation tool to understand how a device-undertest’s performance changes as a function of source impedance. Noise Parameter measurements are typically performedusing a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) to measure the S-Parameters of the DUT, and a Noise Analyzer (either Noise Figure Analyzer NFA or Spectrum Analyzer SA) to measure the noise power of the DUT. Noise parameters are calculated from a combination of knownsource impedances, S-parameters and noise powers.

PXI Switch - 16-CH General-Purpose SPDT Relay Module
PXI-7901
ADLINK PXI-7901 is a general-purpose (GP) switch module implementing 16-CH independent single-pole double-throw (SPDT) relays (1 Form C). PXI-7901 can connect one input to one output and be used as signal switching and routing for measurement system or ATE. Thanks to its high switching capacity, PXI-7901 can also be used to turn on or turn off devices such as motors, fans, heaters, and lights. The contact position of the relays can be changed either by direct software commands or by following the instructions previously stored in the on-board scan list. The scan list advances upon the trigger from external measurement devices, such as a DMM. The scan list could also advance when the scan-delay timer expires. In the PXI-7901, PXI trigger functions are supported and software programmable. Multiple modules can therefore be synchronized without additional field wiring.

These PXI matrix cards are constructed using high reliability rutheniumelectro-plated reed relays, offering >10e8 operations to give maximum switchingconfidence with long life and stable contact resistance. Larger matrices may be constructed by Daisy Chaining the common signals from multiple PXI modules. For example, 7 PXI modules will form a 168x8 Matrix, a total of 1344 crosspoints in a 7-slot PXI Chassis. Each relays PCB contact track is shielded individually in order to handle very low voltage signals and audio signals with extremely low crosstalk.
