It is constructed from 4 bundles of 50-wire round/flat ribbon cables, terminated with 50-pin female 2.54mm pitch IDC connectors. The 200-pin connector can be secured to its mating connector by female screwlocks.

The GPIB‑ENET/1000 is an IEEE 488 controller device for computers with an Ethernet port.
