A single-channel silicon-based thermopile that will withstand operating temperatures of 225C, with a small active area of 0.61mm x 0.61mm in a TO-5 package. The reduced height package functions as an internal aperture. Two thermistor options provide ambient package temperature measurement. Currently only available with 8-14um silicon window. Time constant of 18ms with Nitrogen encapsulation gas delivers a very low Temperature Coefficient of Responsivity of -0.4%C. This detector has a very short thermal shock response to ambient temperature change.

This equipment comprises of high current source for testing of circuit breakers with additional facility for temperature rise testing (thus incorporating testing for moulded case, vacuum & air circuit breakers as per IEC 60947-2). It has the necessary instrumentation for maintaining current at full load & other conditions arising in testing at high current. With the MU-Thermocouple1 CAN FD, measurement data from thermocouples are recorded, pre-processed and transmitted with CAN FD. The temperature is measured via 8 connections, which are designed for the temperature measuring ranges J, K or T, depending on the product version. Temperatures can be recorded in Celsius, Fahrenheit or Kelvin and calculated with an individual factor and offset. The measurement data is then transmitted via CAN FD or via classic CAN.

Physitemp’s Thermes high accuracy data acquisition system has been redesigned to create a more versatile USB model. The new system requires no internal connections to your computer and simply connects via an external USB port on your laptop or desktop computer. Two versions of the data acquisition system are available. The standard version, THERMES USB, is connected to your computer USB port. The wireless version - THERMES USB WFI, can be either directly connected to a USB port or, with the included wireless receiver, positioned up to 100 feet from the host computer. Each unit will accommodate up to 7 type T thermocouple sensors and multiple Thermes units may be connected to the same computer for more thermocouple inputs. A high accuracy electronic cold junction compensation circuit maintains typical system accuracy of ±0.2°C over an ambient temperature range of 15 to 35°C. Individual offsets may be added to each input in software to facilitate individual calibration of each channel. (see THERMES-USB WFI)
