AWG-8200
The AWG-8200 is an agile waveform generator designed for linear frequency chirp, CW burst , and arbitrary waveform applications. It is based upon a modular programmable digital signal processing baseboard engine with an integrated 32-bit processor, high-performance FPGA, and two versatile daughtercard ports that can be clocked up to 1 GHz. Communication to the baseboard is provided by Ethernet and RS-232 ports for programming waveform and control parameters.

It provides a single box solution Type A, Type B (metallic and longitudinal) and Powerline surges. These surges simulate the effect of lightning on telecom equipment under test. So it is also referred to as Lightning Simulator. The electromagnetic energy from the lightning couples into the equipment by powerline or telecom cable exposed to the lightning directly or indirectly.
