The receive channels allow for the storage of all selected Labels with status and time tag information appended to each word. The receivers allow for filtering and multi-storage modes of Data Words. The transmit channels operate via a transmit ‘instruction stack’ which allows scheduling of data transmissions and reduces the need for host computer intervention.The M8K429 comes complete with C-driver software library including the source code.

In addition, a Concurrent Bus Monitor enables concurrent monitoring of the bus during CCC and PU simulation. The module also supports error injection and detection, and all control parameters and data may be updated in real time. Note: The M4KH009 Module is a "double size" module, and occupies two vertically adjacent sockets in the EXC-4000 carrier Board.

The module supports 10Mhz, 100Mhz and 1Ghz Full Duplex UDP/IP Ethernet.The receive channels allow for the storage of all packets to all MAC and IP addresses with status and Time Tag information appended to each packet. The receivers allow for filtering based on MAC address, IP address and UDP port. The transmit channels enable the user to define a Bus list which controls timing and order of packets without host intervention or immediate mode which enables the host to transmit packets at will.
