Environment Associates can provide everything you need for cyclic durability testing and performance fixturing. Services include mechanical cycling to a position or load, fatigue cycling to a fixed load, rotational torque cycling, and simple push/pull cycling. EA can design your fixture with electro-dynamic, air, or hydraulic assistance to mechanically move your part. All of our fixtures can be manufactured to withstand a wide range of temperature, humidity and vibration inputs. If required, forces can be monitored electronically, using a wide variety of inputs (i.e. strain gages, load cells, rotational transducers, thermocouples, shunts, and more). EA can create holding and check fixtures to perform “pre” and “post” evaluation for dimensional issues that may occur during testing. The TCC1800 Test Controller Card is a generic control board for production testing of printed circuit boards (PCBs). The board is controlled by a command language on a PC to which it is connected via a galvanically separated USB interface. The TCC1800 is designed to work with positive voltages up to 24V. All inputs and outputs are protected against higher voltages however. The card provides basic IO: Analog and digital interfacing, counters, PWM outputs, bidirectional I/O, Serial (UART) and I2C interfacing.

Linear Stages
A new set of motorized tables developed by Klocke Nanotechnik allows high strokes at small volumes. The modules are driven by the Nanomotor®. Loads of up to two kg can be moved over centimeters of stroke with down to 2 nm resolution. Manipulation in many degrees of freedom is possible without backlash. The modules NMT xx-L are longer, but thin like a pencil. In most of the NMT-modules position measurement systems can be included without increasing the size. The resolution of the position sensor is better than 10 nm. All NMT modules can easily be fixed onto each other. Very small connectors allow the exchange of a module without removing cables. The NMT-Zxx are modules for vertical movement. They have an internal load compensation to lift up loads. Nanomotor-Grippers and force sensors that can easily be fixed on these modules are available.

Low Voltage DC / Battery Powered HV Amplifiers

The Falco Systems WMA-02 is a high voltage amplifier that runs from an 24 - 30V DC power supply and can be battery powered if required, e.g. for use in a Faraday cage. Its internal high voltage generator is inductor-free and hence does not spread magnetic interference in sensitive experimental setups. The output noise is impressively low at 4mVrms. For extremely low noise applications where bandwidth is not an issue, a dedicated WMA-02LF version is available that contains an output low pass filter capacitor which reduces the bandwidth to 50Hz, but makes the noise drop to below 0.2mVrms. This bandwidth-limited amplifier is ideal for MEMS or piezo positioning with manual voltage adjustment.
