The optical square measures the squareness of axes during laser calibration of a machine tool. The Keysight 10777A uses two accurately-aligned mirrors to direct an output beam at precisely 90 degrees to an input beam.

It can be used in place of the 10707A Beam Bender (6 mm or less beam diameter) for applications that require the larger aperture of the 10772A.
