Crown high voltage, transformer type hipot insulation testers are safe, easy to use for quick, positive determination of grounds, shorts, and broken wires in motors, transformers and other low voltage equipment or wiring systems. A turn of the selector switch gives a selection of seven voltages; 500, 1080, 1250, 1500, 1750, 2000 or 2500 volts calibrated to +/- 5% accuracy; NEMA recommendation for insulation test is twice normal voltage plus 1000 volts. Designed primarily for testing products in plastics. Side access electrically probes outside panel connectors. The unit will also optically read LEDs and key segments off LCD displays. Solenoids will press buttons and servos will turn selector switches. DC motors are used to adjust multiple turn potentiometers. Microphone will detect audio output tones. Top and bottom of circuit boards can also be probed if removable access panels are available. This unit will also probe all 6 sides of a circuit board. This is typically utilized in applications where connector testing is required.

Universal Heading and Track Selector Panel This panel provides a synchro transmitter for Heading and a synchro resolver for Nav converter alignment. The synchros are mounted on industry standard 18:1 dual speed drives for maximum accuracy and repeatability. This unit can be used to calibrate both manual and automatic converters. This panel provides a rear mounted interface connector as well as front mounted tip jacks for independent breakout if so desired. The TA-260 also provides two discrete switches associated with the resolver configuration. The 30Hz/400Hz switch is provided to allow the resolver to be properly compensated for the type of Nav converter to be aligned. The second switch allows you to open or short the resolver rotor lead as may be required by some newer GPS equipment. This panel is lightweight enough for portable use or may be rack mounted.

The Emergency Interseat Sequencing System (EISS) was designed an qualified for the F-15K Fighter and has since been installed in the F-15SG and F-15SA configurations of the F-15. The system consists of Thermal Batteries with Initiators, a Digital Interseat Sequencer, Mode Selector, and customer provided cabling Electro-Explosive Devices (EEDs). The system is operated from either thermal battery and aircraft 28Vdc for redundancy. A separate field Test Set (EESSTS) performs both complete system continuity tests and an operational test of the total system installed in the aircraft. The sequencer is programmable and could be used in any escape system.Based on the initiation point, Forward or Aft Seat Handle, Internal or External Canopy Jettison Handles, and the Mode Selector setting, the Sequencer provides firing pulses to the EEDs to support canopy removal, ejection seat inertial reel activation(s) and ejection seat catapult firing(s). Sensing capabilities are provided to determine system state, canopy gone, seat gone, so as to provide the optimum escape timing.

Standard Directional Gyroscopes

The 4000B is our standard air-driven directional gyro. As the aircraft turns left or right, gears on the sensing unit and dial shaft translate this rotation into rotation of the instrument’s vertical dial. Left turns produce clockwise dial rotation and right turns produce counter-clockwise rotation. The gyro is controlled by a heading selector knob located on the lower left of the instrument. Pressing and turning the knob first disengages the dial shaft and then resets the dial to a new heading, which results in a new course indication. Releasing the selector knob re-engages the dial shaft. The on-course position of the pointer is always at the top of the azimuth circle (0° on the dial with the aircraft headed north).
