Ironwood Electronics SBT sockets are small footprint sockets that are compatible with other product lines such as GHz elastomer sockets, Giga-Spring sockets, etc. The socket needs about 2.5mm extra space around the chip than the actual chip size utilizing only very small PCB real estate. A heat sink screw on the top provides the compression force as well as thermal relief and can be customized to dissipate more power. SBT socket uses SBT contact technology for high endurance and wide temperature applications. SBT Contact is a stamped contact with outside spring as well as inside leaf spring that provides a robust solution for Burn-in & Test applications. Solutions are available for 0.3mm to 1.27mm LGA, BGA, QFN, QFP, SOIC and other packages. Contact technology has 3 part system which includes top plunger, bottom plunger and a spring. The Beryllium Copper plungers are stamped and assembled to a stainless steel spring in an automated system to enable fast turnaround time, low cost and zero defects.

Model LE-05 and LE-15 extensometers measure strain optically, without contacting the specimen, using laser diode technology. The extensometers are self-contained and portable. They may be interfaced with a variety of testing machines and data acquisition systems using the ±10V analog output or bi-directional RS-232 serial port. Operation may be local or remote. A digital display is included. The scanning beam is always perpendicular to the specimen, unlike most laser extensometers. This eliminates errors when viewing through windows in chambers. It also minimizes sensitivity to the distance between the extensometer and the sample. Because the unit measures reflected light, no receiver is required behind the sample.

The 60-510 is a high density 1-pole matrix module controlled via LXI. It has excellent thermal stability and substantially reduced thermal EMF figures when compared to a conventional switching matrix. Ruthenium reed switches are used because of their good low level switching capability. Henry Scott grips are useful for clamping plate and tape specimens of soft, flexible materials for tensile testing. Specimens are held by rollers on the upper and lower grips, which feature a self-clamping action. To minimize specimen slippage, the grip body opposite the roller, where the specimen contacts, is curved and features a parallel-grooved surface. During tensile testing, the self-clamping action applies increasing clamping force to the specimen as the overall force increases to help hold the specimen in place.
