The NFO OTDR unit injects the laser pulse into the fiber under test and picks up scattered and reflected optical signals by an avalanche photodiode (APD). The unit accepts remote commands from Internet to control all related timing and data acquisition processes. Maximal three wavelengths are available at the NFO with options on 1310, 1490, 1550, and 1625 nm. NFO also has options on dynamic ranges so users can select the most cost effective units for their demands. The UPC Verification Calibration standards are a unique set of symbols that assures an exact and reliable primary bar code standard exists for UPC codes based on ANSI X3.182/ISO 15416 methodology. These standards assures that manufactures of verification equipment, scanners, QC labs and end users now have an accurate basis for checking the measurement capabilities of their equipment. These standards are intended as a fundamental calibration tool for an QC program, providing a continuous scale from best to worse case characteristics of each parameter. With complete NIST traceable data supplied, it is ideally suited to those requiring traceability, such as ISO certification. Each symbol is individually calibrated to ANSI X3.182/ISO 15416 standards using a custom built microdensitometer. Mini-Circuits’ RUDAT-13G-90 is a general purpose programmable RF attenuator supporting frequencies from 10 to 13000 MHz with attenuation from 0 to 90 dB in 0.5 dB steps. Its unique design maintains linear attenuation change per dB, even at the highest attenuation and frequency settings. The attenuator is controlled via USB, RS232 or SPI. It comes housed in a compact, shielded metal case with SMA(F) input/ output RF ports (RF ports are interchangeable), a USB type Mini-B socket, and a 9-pin D-sub(F) RS232 and SPI port. Power can be supplied via either USB or the D-sub port.
