Lumistar provides a wide variety of rack mount integrated receiver and diversity combiner systems. Some of these can be configured with multiple receivers, diversity combiners, and bit synchronizers depending on custom requirements. Lumistar does not manufacture any computers, but selects only the finest of the industrial machines available to provide a high performance package. Basic system setup, control, and display software is included with each of these systems at no additional cost.

Airborne Receivers & Bit Synchronizers
The Lumistar LS-28-DRSM Series Multi-Mode Multi-Band Receiver/Combiner/TM Processing Unit is designed using ruggedized packaging to survive severe airborne conditions. The LS-28-DRSM is available in several configurations: 1) Airborne receiver only (RF to bits), 2) Airborne bit synchronizer only, 3) RF to TM Processing and Display (RF to bits to UDP decom to LAN Client Displays). Models with receivers are available in any band form 200 MHz to 7 GHz with S, lower L and C bands as standards. Other RF bands are available, please consult the factory for details. This unit can be mated with other Lumistar products to provide a complete air-to-ground re-transmission system.

Firmware for High-speed Communication
OP-FW12GA
OP-FW12GA is the firmware to increase the speed of monitoring test of bit synchronous communication (such as HDLC/SDLC/X.25, or CC-Link communication), SPI communication, Profibus-DP (field bus known for high-speed communication), UART (asynchronous communication, which is commonly used). By processing great part of monitoring processes by FPGA, it unfailingly captures communication data with time stamps of a microsecond rate. The interface supports RS-232C/RS-422/RS-485/TTL.

LS-44-QBS
The LS-44-QBS contains up to 4 Lumistar LS-40-DB25 Bit Synchronizer Daughterboards in a 1U RackMount chassis with status lights on the front panel and all interconnections through the rear. The design contains an internal computer which runsoff DOS or Windows depending on the version selected. The DOS version boots quickly without the delays required for Windows startup. The Windows version offers networking. The unit can be connected directly to the optional 1U slideout keyboard/display, for setup resulting in only 2U of total rack height. For applications that require many bit synchronizers, a 1U keyboard/Display with KVM switch allows 32 bit synchronizers in 9U of rack height. When power is applied, the computer will operate with the last configuration unless the operator wishes to change the setup. For setup, the keyboard/display is pulled out and the display is flipped up to monitor the process. When the bit synchronizer setup is completed, the keyboard/display canbe closed up since the status can be monitored on the front panel without an external display.

Telemetry Transmitter for FM with up to 3 Bands
LS-11-F
The LS-11-F portable FM test transmitter is designed for checkout and troubleshooting of telemetry receiving systems operating with FM modulation. For applications with any of the ARTM modulations (Tier 0, Tier I, or Tier II), please refer to the LS-11-M Data Sheet. Complete ground stations including the antenna with LNA, RF down-converter, IF receiver, bit synchronizer, and PCM decommutator can be tested and bit error tests performed. The design allows secure links to be tested with an external encryptor. The Test Transmitter contains an internal PCM Data Simulator and Pseudorandom patterngenerator that operates in a BERT mode. The device provides simulated clock and data (without transmitter enabled) and accepts external data for modulating the internal transmitter. Complete setup can be achieved locally through the keypad and two-line LCD display or remotely through the USB Interface. Operational parameters include the PCM format parameter database information (frame sync patterns, wavewords, etc…), pre-modulation filter selection, transmitter carrier frequency, transmitter deviation, and output power level. Output power can be selected from approx. -60 to +5 dBm in 5 dB steps. The Test Transmitter contains a LiFePO4 Battery (Lithium Iron Phosphate), which provides higher energy density at ¼ the weight of legacy lead-acid batteries. The unit also provides an internal battery charger and will operate for up to twelve hours on battery power having received on a full charge.

The all-digitaldesign assures a high performance, consistent product, with excellent reliability and long-term stability. Dual channel design can feed each channel of the LS-55-DD dual decom. The LS-45-DB also has a post D combiner that allows for optimal ratiocombining of the two input signals A unique Built-in-Test feature allows performance verification for the Bit Synchronizer to ensure the highest level of operation. Auto-test BIT is performed for a short duration on the application of power and tests more than 90% of the Bit Synchronizer components. This test verifies that power is properly applied, verifies that there are no internal bit errors, and performs other tests to ensure that the bit synchronizer is fully operational with status indication of results. Command-test BIT performs the same functions and can be initiated by the user at any time through the Lumistar software when used on Lumistar PC products. The user has the ability to generate internal pseudo-random patterns and calculate internal bit error rates with or without the injection of forced errors.Various status indicators are also available through the software. The Bit Synchronizer also contains a BER reader as well as frame sync pattern indicator.
