All the elements of the WRISTAT – continuity of the strap, integrity of the protective resistor, and satisfactory strap to skin contact – are easily confirmed by pressing the top cover of the WT25-4145.26M. The operator (wearer) is tested for a resistance to ground of greater than 250K ohms and less than1,200,000 ohms. The upper limit notifies you of an unacceptably high resistance value (IE possible loss of effective dissipation) and the lower limit warns of unsafe low resistance (possible risk of electric shock from surrounding motors, live wires etc.). The unit is not switchable.

The input is transformer isolated and accuracy applies over the operating temperature range and with +/-10% input amplitude and frequency variations. The operational amplifier outputs are not transformer isolated, and can be driven into external power amplifiers and Scott "T" transformers for 3 wire synchro outputs. A typical application of this series is in a conventional positioning servo system as a complex error processor. These three zone resistance wire wound furnaces are of split construction to facilitate fast and easy loading of a pre-assembled specimen train. The case is constructed from stainless steel with aluminium and hardened insulation board end plates. The optional front cut-out allows the use of side-entry high-temperature extensometry. Adjustable stainless steel latches keep the furnace halves locked together during use, but are then easily opened once testing is complete. The furnace is available with optional heavy duty brackets or mountings, which attach to a wide range of testing systems. An extensive range of standard controllers is available to suit most test regimes. Custom variants can be specified should the standard range not include a suitable unit.
