The MX1DS10P is a broadband 0.05GHz to 15GHz prescaler with a variable divide ratio between 2 and 1048576 (2^20). All inputs and outputs are DC coupled using CML logic levels, and can be used single-ended or differentially. Control inputs are CMOS and LVTTL compatible. The MX1DS10P is packaged in a 40-pin 6x6mm leadless plastic surface mount package.

Their performance specifications include output ENR levels ranging from 15 dB to 30 dB and typical VSWR levels as low as 1.25:1. Depending on the model, calibrated frequency points are at 10 MHz, 100 MHz, 1000 MHz, 2000 MHz and 1 GHz steps. The temperature coefficient of these noise sources is < 0.01 dB/°C and noise output variation is < 0.1 dB/%V.

Because of its double braking system, the HD-825 requires more than 4 amps of power in order to reach full torque. The 5241 (which can provide up to 5 amps of output current) is necessary in order to amplify the power between a 6200 or DSP6001 Controller (which both have a maximum current output of 1 amp) and the HD-825 Dynamometer.
