724 Family
The 724 is a family of CAEN Waveform Digitizer able to perform basic waveform recording and run online advanced algorithms (DPP) of pulse height analysis and dynamic acquisition window. Data is read by a Flash ADC, 14-bit resolution and 100 MS/s sampling rate, which is well suited for high resolution detectors as Silicon, HPGe or inorganic scintillators like NaI or CsI coupled with Charge Sensitive Preamplifers. In the waveform recording mode, algorithms of zero suppression are also implemented to reduce the data throughput. The acquisition can be channel independent and it is possible to make coincidence/anticoincidence logic among diferent channels and external veto/gating. Multiple boards can be synchronized to build up complex systems.

I/Q and Image Reject Mixers
In-phase quadrature (I/Q) mixers and image reject mixers (IRM) offer a robust frequency mixing solution for applications that require high image rejection or sideband suppression. These mixers can be used as an upconverter or downcoverter. I/Q or IRM mixers use two double-balanced mixers with a 90° hybrid. The inherent architecture of I/Q mixers eliminates the resulting product due to image frequency during downconversion and allows the selection of desired sideband during upconversion.

IQ Mixers
The new MMIC IQ mixers from Fairview (also known as IQ modulators) utilize a highly reliable GaAs MESFET semiconductor process which integrates a pair of matched double balanced mixer cells, a 90-degree hybrid and a 0-degree splitter/combiner that produces exceptional amplitude and phase balance performance. This level of integration offers size and performance advantages in comparison to discrete module assemblies. With the addition of an external 90-degree IF hybrid module, these IQ mixers can be used as either a Single Sideband Up-converter Mixer or an Image Reject Down-converter Mixer. The benefit of image rejection and sideband suppression can reduce overall system cost and complexity by removing the need for pre-selection filtering. The SC5510A and SC5511A are VCO-based, synthesized signal sources with very low phase noise and an amplitude control of 0.01 dB throughout its -30 dBm to +15 dBm output power range. By utilizing a unique multiple phase-locked loop architecture, phase spurs are kept below -70 dBc across the entire tuning range, even at 1 Hz step resolution. These 20 GHz signal sources include an additional, independent RF2 channel with a tunable frequency range from 100 MHz to 3 GHz and a tuning resolution of 25 MHz.
