The semi-prep SFC has capacity for larger scale purification, but can still be used for analytical scale method development. The system is optimized for 10mm and 20mm ID columns. The open-bed fraction collector can be triggered on time, threshold or slope based on signals from up to 4 different detectors signals including UV, PDA, fluorescence, CD and/or MS. The macro cyclone separators provide simple gas-liquid separation for excellent fraction recoveries typically greater than 95%. Fractions can be collected using an open bed fraction collector or an 8-way valve.

Is a process in which a pulsed (80-100 ns) high power electron beam (~1000 A, 15 kV) penetrates approximately 1 μm into the target resulting in a rapid evaporation of target material. The non-equilibrium heating of the target facilitates stoichiometric ablation of the target material. Under optimum conditions, the target stoichiometry is preserved in the deposited films. All solid state materials – metals, semiconductors and insulators, including those transparent to laser wavelengths in PLD – can be deposited as thin films with PED. By combining PLD and PED, the range of complex materials that can be prepared as thin films can be greatly enhanced.

Using closed-loop control, conductivity and pressure are kept stable under changing flow conditions. The dissolved ammonia concentration is monitored and adjusted, delivering the specific NH4OH concentration needed. Dissolved ammonia’s alkaline chemistry provides ESD protection during rinsing, particle lift-off, and residual photoresist removal in middle-of-line (MOL) and prevents corrosion of cobalt/copper interfaces.
