Fixed Laser Source Module
Keysight offers a broad choice of fixed laser sources, which are available as single-wavelength and dual-wavelength modules as part of the Keysight Lightwave Solution Platform. The Keysight 8165xA Fabry-Perot laser sources can be used in conjunction with optical power meter modules for insertion loss, optical return loss and PDL measurement of broadband components and fiber. The Keysight 81663A Distributed Feedback Laser Sources are best suited for amplifier test and WDM system test applications. Keysight covers PON and common WDM wavelengths with its 81663A Distributed Feedback (DFB) laser source modules. The precise tunability around ITU-grid center wavelength gives you the flexibility to match test setups to the latest requirements of the DWDM-system. The fine-tuning allows to shift the center wavelength from one DWDM transmission channel to the adjacent channel in dense WDM systems. The built-in isolator ensures highest laser stability, even when reflections are present in the optical path.

Fiber-Optic Transmission
Fiber optic transmission systems all use data links that work similar to the diagram shown above. Each fiber link consists of a transmitter on one end of a fiber and a receiver on the other end. Most systems operate by transmitting in one direction on one fiber and in the reverse direction on another fiber for full duplex operation. It's possible to transmit both directions on one fiber but it requires couplers to do so and fiber is less expensive than couplers. A FTTH passive optical network (PON) is one of the only systems using bidirectional transmission over a single fiber because its network architecture is based around couplers already.

Angle Position On-Axis
The magnetic rotary position sensor product family detects the absolute angular orientation of an on-axis two-pole magnet rotating over the center of the IC. The absolute angular position can be provided in various formats, including PWM, ABI and UVW, or directly read through the host interface. This technology can be employed in high-accuracy angle position detection, high-speed rotation systems and brushless DC motor control. The Model 104-IDIO-16 is a 32-channel PC/104 utility board featuring 16 optically isolated inputs and 16 optically isolated solid state outputs. The isolated, non polarized inputs may be driven by either DC sources of 3-31V (or higher by special order) or AC sources at frequencies of 40Hz to 10KHz. Optically isolating the digital inputs from each other, and from the computer, assures smooth, error-free data transmission in noisy, real-world environments. The 16 input channels are available via a 34-pin IDC type header. The fully protected solid state outputs, capable of sourcing 2A each, are inherently more reliable than electromechanical relays and give system architects a more robust product to design with. The solid state outputs are available via a 50 pin IDC type header.
