Sand & Dust Test
This test method is divided into two procedures. The small particle procedure, using fine dust is performed to ascertain the ability of equipment to resist the effects of fine particles which may penetrate into cracks, crevices, bearings, and joints. The blowing sand test, using coarse particles, is performed to determine whether equipment can be stored and operated under blowing sand conditions without experiencing degradation of its performance, effectiveness, reliability, and maintainability due to the abrasion or clogging effect of large, sharp-edged particles.

CMK Mechanical Kits
Columbia has created a unique mechanical click system using ball bearings and guiding sleeves. The UUT is connected to the spring contact pins that are connected to the testing environment in a completely linear fashion. Connecting the UUT to probes can be approached both from the top and the bottom and, optionally, even from the side. The ergonomic housing provides generous space for additional measuring electronics. The back and bottom of the housing can be adapted to the various test system interfaces.

3U CPCI To PCI 4 Slot Adapter
The PCI-Adapter is a carrier board, allowing the operation of any standard (desktop) PCI card in a CompactPCI® system. The PCI-Adapter acts as a PCI bridge, providing an electrically and mechanically optimized interface between PCI and CompactPCI® system. Our adapters include a PCI Bridge. Some competitor products do not provide a PCI bridge, thus reducing adapter costs by tolerating a violation of the PCI specs. Overall PCI compatibility however is a must in order to achieve total system reliability. Please bear these facts in mind, when comparing prices of PCI-Adapters. All modern operating systems can treat a PCI bridge in a plug and play manner meaning that the bridge remains virtually transparent, as if the PCI component(s) behind the bridge on the secondary PCI bus were part of the primary PCI bus.
