Near Field Probes 30 MHz up to 3 GHz
RF6 set
The RF6 near field probe set consists of 2 passive magnetic field probes and 2 passive E field probes for measurements in the development phase of the E-field and magnetic field in the range from 30 MHz to 3 GHz on electronic assemblies. The probe heads of the RF6 set allow a step by step localization of interference sources of the RF magnetic field and RF-E-field on an assembly. From a larger distance the electromagnetic interference is detected by RF-R 50-1 for the magnetic field and by RF-E 02 for the E-field. The RF-B 3-2 and RF-E 10 probes with their higher resolution can more presicely detect the interference sources of the magnetic field and the E-field. Field orientation and field distribution on an electronic assembly can be detected by special guidiance of the near field probe. The near field probes are small and handy. They have a sheath current attenuation and are electrically shielded. They can be connected to a spectrum analyzer or an oscilloscope with a 50 Ω input. They do not have an internal terminating resistance.

The EXC-9810/Ax is an Ethernet adapter supporting up to twenty ARINC-429 channels in any combination of transmit and/or receive. All of the channels feature error injection and detection.adapter. Its small size and ability to interface through Ethernet interfaces make it a complete solution for developing, testing and performing system simulation of the ARINC-429 bus, both in the lab and in the field.The receive channels allow for the storage of all selected labels with status and time tag information appended to each word, and also allow for filtering and multi-storage modes of data words. The transmit channels operate via a transmit ‘instruction stack’ which allows scheduling of data transmissions and reduces the need for host computer intervention. The EXC-9810 supports up to four independent 8000 family avionics communication modules, allowing multiple different protocols to be mixed and matched on a single card. Modules available include MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, MMSI, ARINC-429, ARINC-708, ARINC-717, Serial, Discrete and CAN bus. In addition, multiple units can operate on the same network, by programming each one with a unique IP address, and can be accessed from any computer on the network.The EXC-9810/Ax adapter is supplied with C drivers, including source code and may be used with Exalt, Excalibur’s Analysis and Laboratory Tools, a Windows monitoring application (only versions 8.1 or higher). The new design of these transition time converters ensures very low signal reflection far beyond the 3 dB point, unlike conventional converters. Reducing the signal transition-times also increases the overall pulse-performance for overshoot/reflection sensitive applications. The converters are fitted with SMA connectors, one male, one female. These converters have been designed to convert the fixed transition-times of the Keysight 8133A 3 GHz timing generator (<100 ps transitions) to slower, fixed transition-times (150 ps, 250 ps, 500 ps, 1 ns, 2 ns) hence reducing the signal bandwidth. All transition-times are from 10% to 90% of amplitude.

The LS-71P PCI D/A Converter (DAC) board provides high speed analog outputs of PCM decommutated data allowing real time data displays using strip chart recorders or similar devices. The LS-71-P board is designed to be used in conjunction with the Lumistar LS-50-P Multifunction PCM Decommutator boards and uses an over-the-top communication bus directly from the decom to the DAC to avoid any glitches in the analog outputs due to PCI bus activity. Direct “mailbox” type access is also provided to allow the user to send information through the PCI bus to the DACs. The DAC board design allows 2 LS-50-D Multifunction decom boards to be used with a single DAC board allowing tagged data from either data stream to be directed to any DAC channel. An optional LS-71-DB Word Selector Daughterboard allows two additional data streams to be monitored with the ability to select channels from 4 data streams to be displayed on any DAC channel. The design incorporates an extremely large memory (more than 200,000 16-bit words) used as a lookup table allowing linear or non-linear EUconversions with constant delay regardless of the number of polynomial coefficients required. Standard product supports a single decom, however, dual decom support is available as an option.
