The PMC-Serial is capable of providing multiple serial protocols, both synchronous and asynchronous with a wide range of baud rates. The PMC-Serial has up to 8 UART channels, and two SCC channels. The protocol processors are complemented with a variety of IO which can be selected as a build option. RS-232, RS-485, RS-422, and RS-423 are supported.
