Single strand fiber solutions are the simplest way to fiber optimization,immediately doubling the capacity of the installed fiber plant. Insteadof using two dedicated strands, one for receiving and the other fortransmitting, each strand carries a bi-directional signal. The fiberplant capacity doubles, which in turn can double the per fiber returnon investment (ROI) with no need for more physical fiber.
