Spectroscopic Ellipsometers
SENresearch 4.0
The SENresearch 4.0 is the new SENTECH spectroscopic ellipsometer. Every individual SENresearch 4.0 spectroscopic ellipsometer is a customer-specific configuration of spectral range, options and field upgradable accessories. SENresearch 4.0 uses fast FTIR ellipsometry for the NIR up to 2,500 nm or 3,500 nm, respectively. It provides broadest spectral range with best S/N ratio and highest, selectable spectral resolution. Silicon films up to 200 µm thickness can be measured. The measurement speed of FTIR ellipsometry compares to diode array configurations, which are also selectable up to 1,700 nm. The new motorized Pyramid Goniometer features an angle range from 20 deg to 100 deg. Optical encoders ensure highest precision and long term stability of angle settings. The spectroscopic ellipsometer arms can be moved independently for scatterometry and angle resolved transmission measurements.

Despite their small footprint, smaller than an A3 size sheet of paper (297 x 420 mm), these models have been engineered with a wide sample compartment that accommodates existing accessories from Shimadzu and other manufacturers. This capability makes them the smallest (installation footprint) and lightest FTIR spectrophotometers in the world that can be used with optional products from other manufacturers. They also include a program, IR Pilot, with 23 application-specific workflows that can be utilized without involving any complicated parameter setup process. Customers can select from either the IRSpirit-T model, which offers sensitivity equivalent to standard Shimadzu models, or the reasonably priced IRSpirit-L model.

atmosFIR CEM
atmosFIR CEM is a complete emissions monitoring system incorporating the atmosFIR 19” FTIR analyser. As completely hot and wet emissions measurement, atmosFIR CEM is ideal for complete measurement of multiple gases from applications such as incineration and power. A standard gas suite of NO, NO2, N2O, SO2, NH3, HCl, CH4, O2, CO2 and H2O is provided, but with the powerful FTIR analyser, further gases can be added easily in software.
