Fluid Level Sensor
The output of the fluid level sensor is a voltage which changes in direct proportion to the level of fluid in the probe. The difference in permittivity between air and the fluid being measured changes the capacitance between the probe's two concentric tubes as the level changes. An RS232 connection to a PC allows the user to calibrate the fluid level and thermal drift compensation. The probe is factory replaceable, allowing the electronics to be re-used should the probe become damaged or if a new probe length is required.

The EX-10 is a special Thru-Beam Sensor that was designed for two purposes; to check fluid levels and to detect the level of liquids containing water. The emitter on the EX-10 Sensor uses a particularly strong IR beam to not only penetrate transparent, but also semitransparent or colored containers such as PFA packages or shampoo bottles. Also, the sensitivity of the Sensor is adjustable to allow it to focus on a target, such as distinguishing foam from liquid in drinks, as an example.

The interval between these two signals is typically referred to as time-of-flight (ToF) and depends on the distance the ultrasonic wave travels until it is reflected due to an impedance change and the speed of the ultrasonic wave. The CQ range provides an innovative fully-concentric and balanced actuator design for quarter-turn valves. The design features a helical mechanism that transforms linear piston motion into quarter-turn valve stem rotation. CQ actuators provide a much higher torque output for a given footprint than scotch yoke designs typically utilised to operate many quarter-turn valve types. It is therefore ideally suited for installation in confined spaces. Further, Rotork’s unique helical pin design provides higher efficiency than a helical gear mechanism utilised by other valve actuator manufacturers.As standard, the CQ torque output profile, like that of a scotch yoke actuator, is engineered to parallel the torque demand profile typically found with popular quarter-turn valve types. The CQ design however is unique in that the torque profile can be custom engineered and manufactured to meet specific, non-standard valve torque requirements.In our experience, the CQ standard range of sizes is suitable for applications that require a pneumatically powered actuator with torque demand less than 150,000 Nm. Level Monitoring
Magnetic level switches are used for the monitoring and control of liquid level in tanks. These level switches are specifically manufactured to customer specifications. The float switches are manufactured with a hermetically sealed contact which is located within the guide tube. The float sliding on the tube contains a ring magnet which activates the sealed contact in a non-contacting fashion. The sealed contacts are available as SPST (N/O or N/C) or SPDT (N/O + N/C). The float sliding up and down on the guide tube is the only moving part on the M-series magnetic float switches.
