Faster MTF algorithms reduce the test cycle time so that an outstanding throughput is achieved. The ImageMaster® PRO 10 features a 15% increased productivity compared to the ImageMaster® PRO 9.The new ImageMaster® PRO 10 also provides additional measurement functions. For example, measurements at different frequencies and RGB measurements can be performed to determine chromatic aberration. An upgrade of four additional cameras allows the measurement of relative illumination for testing the homogeneous illumination of lenses in the field.

The optics test stations of the OTS series enable the computer-based, software-controlled measurement of optical parameters of individual lenses (including cylindrical lenses) and optical systems. Measured variables are, for example, focal length, MTF, focal length, radius, contact dimension, centering, wedge angle and deflection angle. The optional software module LensTest enables the measurement of the center thickness of lenses and air gaps in complete lenses as well as the measurement of the centering error of individual surfaces.

OptiSpheric® & Spherometer
TRIOPTICS' OptiSpheric® and Spherometer are the classic optical test systems for spherical lenses that can be found in virtually any optical manufacturing process. While the Spherometer is used for the tactile determination of lens radii, OptiSpheric® systems provide contactless measurement of effective focal length, back focal length, flange focal length, MTF on axis and the radius of lenses. Specific upgrades allow determining centration errors and angles on plane surfaces. Systems for testing IOLs in compliance with EN/ISO 11979 form a class of their own. OptiSpheric® IOL R&D is preferably used for measuring single lenses while OptiSpheric® IOL PRO 2 is designed for the fully automated IOL measurement in serial production.

SINE (Sinusoidal) Targets & Arrays
Sinusoidal Target Arrays have been recognized as a superior test method for a variety of applications, from moiré contouring to reliable MTF Evaluation of materials, lenses, cameras, and electro-optical systems (Follow the hyperlink to learn about using Sinusoids for MTF eval). Sinusoidal Pattern Arrays are manufactured on two different materials for both reflective and transmissive applications. Because of the inherent limitations of reflective materials, the maximum spatial frequency of the reflective pattern arrays is limited to 20 cycles per mm, while the transmission film arrays are offered in various sizes up to 256 cycles per mm. In addition, the sinusoidal arrays are available in a Single Frequency Grating or with Multi-Frequency Gratings. SINE Sinusoidal Single Frequency Gratings
Our SINE Sinusoidal Single Frequency transmittance patterns have proved to be very useful for specialized MTF Measurement as well as for such applications as moirè contouring. They are made on film base material with a nominal thickness of 0.175mm. This material is polyester and tends to be somewhat birefringent. The harmonic modulation values are generally 3% or less.

SINE Sinusoidal Vision Demonstration Array
The Sinusoidal Visual Demonstration Array is designed to demonstrate the Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) of the human eye. Its transmittance varies sinusoidally and increases in spatial frequency from 0.2 to 20 c/mm, following a logrithmic scale. The modulation increases linearly from top to bottom. One can see, in the image, where the visual contrast contour disappears which is the MTF of the eye. Ideally suited for teaching and demonstration, the Array is available on film mounted in glass (-G), or mounted in a 2″x 2″ projection slide.(-SL)
