Millimeter Wave Continuously Variable Waveguide Attenuators
Our millimeter wave variable waveguide attenuators allow designers and engineers to test their systems at various signal strengths and attenuation values to determine the optimum signal performance of the system. The key feature of these waveguide attenuators is that the attenuation level is adjusted using a built-in micrometer which enables repeatable and rapid re-setting to different attenuation levels without the need for additional external components. Our waveguide attenuators handle varying attenuation levels from 0 to 30 dB over the specified band allowing the designer to tune the attenuation level needed for the application. The M-310 series of translation stages are our smallest micrometer-driven positioners. The carriage is spring preloaded against the micrometer tip for elimination of backlash. M-310 series stages are available in one-, two- or three-axis configurations. The latter consists of a two-axis stage, an angle bracket and a one-axis stage. Please note that an XY unit cannot be separated into two one-axis stages. The vertical stage in the M-313 XYZ assembly supports the load through the micrometer spindle (not the preload springs) providing excellent stability.

Wide Mechanical Tuning Bandwidth Gunn Oscillators
Wide mechanical tuning bandwidth Gunn oscillators utilize high performance GaAs Gunn diodes and various cavity designs to yield near full band frequency coverage. Unlike dual-tuner oscillators, frequency and power optimization are accomplished by a single micrometer. Furthermore, these oscillators can be modified into electrically tunable oscillators by replacing the micrometer with an electrical actuator. The wide tuning bandwidth of these oscillators offers a low cost, high performance means of signal generation, making them ideal test sources for labs and antenna ranges. While standard models offer a waveguide interface, a coaxial interface is also available. When used with a Gunn oscillator regulator/modulator (SOR series), these oscillators can produce AM or FM modulated signals for many test applications.
