The 40-735 data communications multiplexer is designed for switching the data lines of serial interfaces (RS232, USB). Careful attention to the design of the module ensures that the switching system minimizes its impact on the transmission distance of USB1.1 interfaces. The MUX is available in 36:1 or 18:1 formats and enables a single source of serial data to be switched to one of 36 or 18 devices under test. This allows the data source to load information to, or receive information from, the device under test. This 36:1 version can be software configured into two independent 18 way MUXs enabling two separate sources of serial data to be connected to separate banks of 18 devices. The module is ideal for performing bulk testing of any device that relies on a serial data communications port to load software or control the device operation. Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier

EDFAs are based on the light amplification in erbium-doped fiber, which are optically pumped by means of 980 nm or 1480 nm light sources. In this way, the light of a larger wavelength within the C or L band applied to the input of the amplifier is amplified, thus widening the range of optical communication links. EDFAs typically operate in saturation and the average signal power determines the average gain. The dynamics of EDFA are unaffected by the sequence and dynamics of a digital signal or channel interaction in DWDM systems. As a result, multiple channels can be bundled within the total erbium spectral amplification bandwidth. However, the total average output power in both cases is determined by the saturation power of the specific EDFA.

The EAC-TAVS is a series of programmable high power AC voltage sources. Each system provides a three phase true sinewave output as standard. Each unit is built in a freestanding cabinet. The output frequency is adjustable in the range of 45 - 105Hz. Different frequency ranges are optional, with up to 805Hz possible. An RS-232 and CAN interface are provided as standard. The high resolution TFT front panel displays a host of measurement and setting functions. Besides standard models, other nominal power levels and voltages can be user specified.
