Excalibur Systems, Inc.
Established in 1986, Excalibur Systems started with an idea, with a desire to create and achieve. We designed the first ARINC-429 interface card for the personal computer and we have not looked back since. Today, Excalibur manufactures hundreds of products for the Avionics Industry. From connectors, cables, couplers and cards to sophisticated complete systems, our commitment to customer service is legendary. Excalibur has received numerous awards, accolades and commendations for our products and more importantly for our service and support. Excalibur builds and maintains long-standing relationships with our customers, which we refer to as our "partners".

Protocol Converter
MACC
When designing or upgrading avionics systems we are often faced with the task of integrating components that were not originally designed to work together.A control computer that communicates using RS-232 may need to control component that expects MIL-STD-1553 messages or an INS may put out ARINC-429 labels, which are needed by Multi function Display designed around RS-422.Faced with problems like these, integrators must choose between two poor options. They must either give up on one of the units in favor of another unit that may be less suitable but uses the appropriate communications spec; or they must add a computer system – often PC104 – which can translate from one unit to the other. These computers are generally large, heavy, hot, and require substantial power.

H009 Modules
M4KH009 modules can operate as a Central Computer Complex (CCC) and/or up to sixteen Peripheral Units (PUs) simultaneously, or as a Bus Monitor. In addition, a Concurrent Bus Monitor enables concurrent monitoring of the bus during CCC and PU simulation. The module also supports error injection and detection, and all control parameters and data may be updated in real time. Note: The M4KH009 Module is a "double size" module, and occupies two vertically adjacent sockets in the EXC-4000 carrier Board.

Ethernet Adapter Supporting up to Twenty ARINC-429 Channels in Any Combination
ES-9810/A0 (RUNET II)
The EXC-9810/Ax is an Ethernet adapter supporting up to twenty ARINC-429 channels in any combination of transmit and/or receive. All of the channels feature error injection and detection.adapter. Its small size and ability to interface through Ethernet interfaces make it a complete solution for developing, testing and performing system simulation of the ARINC-429 bus, both in the lab and in the field. The receive channels allow for the storage of all selected labels with status and time tag information appended to each word, and also allow for filtering and multi-storage modes of data words. The transmit channels operate via a transmit ‘instruction stack’ which allows scheduling of data transmissions and reduces the need for host computer intervention. The EXC-9810 supports up to four independent 8000 family avionics communication modules, allowing multiple different protocols to be mixed and matched on a single card. Modules available include MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, MMSI, ARINC-429, ARINC-708, ARINC-717, Serial, Discrete and CAN bus. In addition, multiple units can operate on the same network, by programming each one with a unique IP address, and can be accessed from any computer on the network. The EXC-9810/Ax adapter is supplied with C drivers, including source code and may be used with Exalt, Excalibur’s Analysis and Laboratory Tools, a Windows monitoring application (only versions 8.1 or higher). Please see multi protocol 8000 modules for additional information on protocols that can be added to this card.
