The PE16S represents a new level of performance and capabilities for PXI-based digital instrumentation. Based on the proven architecture of the PE16, the PE16S offers high performance pin electronics and an enhanced timing generator in a compact, 3U PXI form factor. Each card can function as a stand-alone digital subsystem or if required, multiple cards can be interconnected, supporting up to 256 bi-directional pins (16 boards). The PE16S offers 16 programmable level input or output channels with 2 PMU . The PE16S also supports deep pattern memory by offering 32 M of on-board vector memory with per channel dynamic direction control running test rates up to 66 MHz.

Flying Probe Test System

The A8a test system provides the flexibility of flying probe testers while delivering high throughput testing for bare board printed circuit boards (PCBs). The target market for the A8a is the electrical test of tablet and PC motherboards and high density interconnect (HDI) products for smart phones. The A8a is designed for high productivity, reliability and test accuracy. To achieve high throughput the key feature of the A8a is a new dual shuttle system, which reduces the product exchange time to zero seconds in automation mode. In combination with the fast test speed of up to 140 measurements/second the A8a will give customers a competitive test solution for batches up to 5000 boards. A typical cycle time of a 4-up smart phone board is about 2 minutes.

DIgSILENT has developed a new verification tool called DIgSILENT GridCode. The software has been designed in response to the need to verify whether a conventional or renewable power plant is compliant with local Grid Code interconnection requirements on basis of generating unit tests. There is a new trend towards verification of requirements at the point of interconnection of a power plant using transient stability simulations with numerical models. An increasing number of Transmission System Operators are including model validation methods to quantify the risk and uncertainty when using these simulation models in stability studies. These new methods have been included in the DIgSILENT GridCode tool.

Serial Bus Buffers, Extenders, and Accelerators
The Analog Devices family of I2C solutions support hot swappable, 2-wire bidirectional bus buffers to allow I/O card insertion into a live backplane without corruption of the data and clock busses. Additional supported 2-wire buses include SMBus, PMBus, the ATCA intelligent platform management bus (IPMB), and the HDMI DDC bus. I2C/SMBus Accelerators improve bus transitions to allows multiple device connections or a longer, more capacitive interconnect, without compromising slew rates or bus performance. ADI's software-programmable and pin-selectable I2C multiplexers help resolve I2C address limitations, increase fan-in or fan-out, and integrate bus buffers and rise time accelerators for an all-in-one solution. Resistor configurable I2C address translators can be configured with over 100 unique slave addresses to allow multiple slave devices with the same address to coexist on the same bus.

PXI 24 x DPST Reed Relays

Available in normally open (DPST & SPST) configurations. Connections are made via a front panel micro-D 96-pin male connector. For applications requiring improved bandwidth and crosstalk performance please look at our 40-120 and 40-125 range of shielded reed relay cards. General purpose reed relays are suitable for the construction of small switching networks, slaving up to larger switches or operating external devices (e.g. lamps, solenoids etc.). To simplify inter-relay wiring, interconnection points are built onto the circuit board easing the construction of complicated wiring.
