Earth Tester
TAURUS PRECIOHM ET
The TAURUS PRECIOHM ET is one of the specially designed products by TAURUS to measure earth resistivity and earth resistance in a power station. These tests are performed based on 4 point (Wenner) and 3 point (fall of potential) methods respectively. All electrical equipment in the substation and power stations are electrically connected to station earth mat with earth electrodes. The earth electrode ensures that in the event over voltage on the system due to system fault or lighting discharges etc., the parts of the equipment which are normally ”dead” as far as voltages are concerned; do not attain dangerously high potentials. An earth electrode will only be effective so long it has a low resistance to the earth and can carry large currents without deteriorating. Thus the resistance of earth electrode should be low to give good protection and it must be continuously measured and monitored in all the substations and power stations.

Typical applications are accurate testing of:medium and high-voltage circuit breakers,disconnecting switches,high-current bus bar joints,cable splices,and different high-current links.Even more, it accurately measures in high-induction filed environments and substations, as well as in factory testing.RMO-H Series contains six models in total, divided in 2 sub-series depending on the test leads length requirement and the battery type:RMO-H1, RMO-H2 and RMO-H3 models are intended for use with short cables (e.g. 1,3 m / 3 m / 5 m). UV Cameras
Solar blind UV cameras are imaging devices optimized to detect ultraviolet light of wavelengths below about 280nm. Such cameras are insensitive against sunlight due to negligible sensitivity to visible and long wavelength UV light. Solar blind UV cameras are used in a series of applications like corona detection, fire detection, combustion analysis, plasma research, testing UV lamps, etc. However, highly sensitive corona detection is the main mass application and these devices are of crucial importance in electric power industry. These imaging devices enable easy detection of degraded insulators of high voltage transmission lines, distributions and substations. They can see the emission of UV light when discharges occur at defect insulators. From design point of view solar blind UV cameras are actually bispectral imaging systems built by combining true UV camera with typical visible camera.
