The PEMU32 represents a new level of MULTIFUNCTION for PXI-based instrumentation. Based on the proven architecture of the PE32, the PEMU32 offers high voltage PMU/DPS and pin electronics in a compact, 3U PXI form factor. Each card can function as a stand-alone digital subsystem or if required, multiple cards can be interconnected, supporting up to 256 bi-directional pins (8 boards). The PEMU32 also supports deep pattern memory by offering 32 M of on-board vector memory with dynamic per pin direction control and with test rates up to 10 MHz.

The USB‑8502 is powered over the USB bus and does not require external power. It excels in applications requiring real-time, high-speed manipulation of hundreds of CAN frames and signals such as bus monitoring, automation control, and more. The NI‑XNET device‑driven DMA engine enables the onboard processor to move CAN frames and signals between the interface and the user program without CPU interrupts, minimizing message latency and freeing host processor time for processing complex applications. The USB‑8502 is available with a three‑pin COMBICON synchronization connector for triggering and synchronizing the internal hardware timebase with other devices.

Digital I/O Module
The GX3700 is a user configurable, FPGA-based, 3U PXI card which offers 160 digital I/O signals which can be configured for single-ended or differential interfaces. The card employs the Altera Stratix III FPGA, which can support SerDes data rates up to 1.2 Gb/s, digital I/O clock rates of 700 MHz, and features 47,500 logic elements and 2.1 kb of memory. The GX3700 is supplied with an integral expansion board providing access to the FPGA’s 160 I/Os. Alternatively, users can design their own custom expansion cards for specific applications - eliminating the need for additional external boards which are cumbersome and physically difficult to integrate into a test system. The design of the FPGA is done by using Altera’s free Quartus II Web Edition tool set. Once the user has compiled the FPGA design, the configuration file can be loaded into the FPGA directly or via an on-board EEPROM.
