We Have a unique suite of tools to support the development and implementation of test programs created using IEEE 1641 to define the signals and tests. These include the entry-level version of newWaveX (newWaveX–Lite), the development versions of newWaveX (newWaveX–SD and newWaveX–PD) and the complete integrated development environment for IEEE 1641, SigBase. These tools provide everything necessary to work with IEEE 1641, from creating simple signals through to implementing and managing a complete 1641 test environment. All of our 1641 tools are commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) items that may be used stand-alone or integrated into a complete test development environment. newWaveX products may be integrated with third party test executives and associated software.newWaveX is an intuitive user-friendly suite of products that does not require specialist training for users to acquire the skills to develop 1641 programs. Completing the IEEE 1641 User/Developer training course (which uses newWaveX Signal Development for the hands-on element), together with the associated 1 day newWaveX–SD User/Developer training course, provides complete information for the newWaveX user. Further support is provided for users of newWaveX packages under the maintenance agreements for those products.

Vibration Meter

The input signal of the Vibration meter software, which is the output signal of the accelerometer, i.e. the vibrational acceleration signal, is filtered by means of one of four possible digital band filters. Then, based on this signal, vibrational velocity and displacement signals are calculated by means of integrating filters. Thus, the software generates three signals which are transferred to the ZETLAB data server virtual channels created by the program and having the word “Acceleration”, “Speed” or “Displacement” in their names, respectively.Signals are averaged for a selected time interval (0.1 s, 1 s, or 10 s), after which the obtained values are displayed in the dialog box elements of the Vibration meter program. It is possible to display a root-mean-square (RMS), average amplitude or peak value.

The sensor consists of a Hall Effect element, and a shaft which houses a magnet. The card employs the Altera Stratix III FPGA which features over 45,000 logic elements and 1.836 Kb of memory. The GX3788 is based on the GX3700 FPGA card and includes an integral daughter board which provides (8) differential input, 16-bit, 250 MS/s A to D converters and (8), 16-bit, 1 MS/s, D to A converters. The module's FPGA is pre-programmed, providing access to all digital and analog functions. Alternatively, users can program or modify the FPGA , allowing user to adapt the module to their own specific test needs. The design of the FPGA is done by using Altera's free Quartus II Web Edition tool set. Once the user has compiled the FPGA design, the configuration file can be loaded into the FPGA directly or via an on-board EEPROM.
