An Industrial Damper is placed against each end of a calendar roll or yankee roll where the normal roll position presses the damper piston to half of its 1.75 in stroke. The 1206 Industrial Damper System will decrease machine vibration and allow increased throughput in any application where machine performance is being limited by resonant responses in the 1-100 Hz range. Is a process in which a pulsed (80-100 ns) high power electron beam (~1000 A, 15 kV) penetrates approximately 1 μm into the target resulting in a rapid evaporation of target material. The non-equilibrium heating of the target facilitates stoichiometric ablation of the target material. Under optimum conditions, the target stoichiometry is preserved in the deposited films. All solid state materials – metals, semiconductors and insulators, including those transparent to laser wavelengths in PLD – can be deposited as thin films with PED. By combining PLD and PED, the range of complex materials that can be prepared as thin films can be greatly enhanced.

The Universal Checkback Standalone System (UCBS) provides periodic testing of "ON-OFF" carrier sets other than the TC-10B and the UPLC/UPLC-II (which incorporate this same checkback tester internally). The UCBS determines the functionality of the complete channel including the transmitters, receivers and associated coupling equipment. Periodic testing is required for the normally "off" channel, to provide warning of signal deterioration prior to needing it for relaying, The UCBS facilitates automatic testing of the channel at preset intervals. The UCBS is totally field programmable. All programming is done with a computer using the RS232 serial port or limited factory settings with switches on the Checkback module. Front panel LEDs indicate the factory or custom setting applied and the status of alarms.
