Power Conversion
The XRP6124 is a non synchronous step down (buck) controller for up to 5A point of loads. A wide 3V to 30V input voltage range allows for single supply operations from industry standard 3.3V, 5V, 12V and 24V power rails. With a proprietary Constant On-Time (COT) control scheme, the XRP6124 provides extremely fast line and load transient response while the operating frequency remains nearly constant. It requires no loop compensation hence simplifying circuit implementation and reducing overall component count. The XRP6124 also implements an emulated ESR circuitry allowing usage of ceramic output capacitors and insuring stable operations without the use of extra external components.

The 105/106 Series Event Detectors are the most versatile Event Detectors in the product line. These Event Detectors monitor the electrical resistance of up to 128 simple continuity loops, each comprised of single or multiple specimens under test. Each test specimen is continuously monitored while a selectable DC sense current is passed through each channel test-loop; resistance changes exceeding the selected threshold are recorded as an event. Minimum Event Duration, Channel Current, and Threshold Voltage settings can all be independently configured. 105 and 106 Series instruments are electrically identical, with the difference simply that the 105 offers four, 32-channel board slots and the 106 offers only one. Thus the 128-105 is equivalent to four 32-106 Event Detectors.

Alarms
Devar alarms are designed to accurately monitor process trip-points from current, millivolt, DC volts and thermocouple signals. The PeakTech 2715 is a loop tester which is used to test the safety of electrical systems. These device measures the impedance of the short-circuit loop between the outer conductors of a circuit, whereby the probable short-circuit current is calculated. The protection of the circuit (miniature circuit breaker) must therefore trigger at a lower current than the expected short-circuit current, in order to avoid excessive heating of the lines and thus a fire risk. National RF's Type HFDF active directional antenna system consists of a high gain RF amplifier coupled to a tunable Faraday shielded loop antenna. Several loop antenna assemblies are available to provide coverage of frequencies in the HF and low VHF spectrum. Due to the nature of a Faraday shielded loop, the antenna exhibits a sharp null through the diametric center of the loop. This null is used to determine the direction of incoming radio signals or to locate electrical noise being radiated from some source. The internal high gain amplifier is used to compensate for the inherent inefficiency of the actual loop at the operating frequency. Overall, the system dynamic response is about +6 dB as compared to the dynamic response of a dipole. To aid in the direction finding process on strong signals, an internal 30 DB attenuator is provided. As the loop antenna presents a bi-directional response, tri-angulation may be required to eliminate the ambiguous signal direction. The line of site of the incoming signal is determined by listening for a signal null on the receiver or by watching the receiver’s S-meter.

The lightning wave impulse current generator is an impulse current generator that generates a simulated lightning current waveform . Its working process is as follows: first, the transformer charges the capacitor bank through the silicon pile, when the charging voltage reaches a predetermined value, the spark gap is triggered, and the capacitor is discharged through the total inductance and total resistance of the circuit. When the resistance is greater than or equal to the critical damping value, a unidirectional impulse current wave is generated in the circuit. When the resistance is less than the critical damping value, an oscillating impulse current wave is generated. The magnitude of the impact current amplitude is related to the circuit parameters. When the capacitance value and charging voltage are the same, the smaller the inductance value, the greater the current amplitude. In order to obtain as much current as possible, a pulse capacitor with a small inductance value is usually selected, and the total length of the connecting line should be as short as possible when arranging the main capacitor, so that the total loop inductance value can be reduced as much as possible.
