The ICE3009 subsystem is an agile filter for the VHF-L, VHF-H and UHF frequency bands. It allows operation of a number of transceivers in a cosite environment. The VHF/UHF Filter provides multiple poles of RF selectivity to reduce broadband noise in transmit mode of operation and to reduce interfering signals at the transceiver’s RF input in receive mode at Have Quick II/IIa and SATURN tuning speeds. This design incorporates a flexible control scheme that can be configured at the factory for various radio interfaces (ARC-210, ARC-231, ARINC 429, etc.). Typical applications for this high density matrix include signal routing in Functional ATE and data acquisitionsystems. Larger matrices may be constructed by Daisy Chaining the common signals from multiple PXI modules. For example, 7 PXI modules will form a 168x8 Matrix, a total of 1344 crosspoints in a 7-slot PXI Chassis. All 40-521 series modules are fitted with reed relays (ruthenium sputtered type), these offer very long life with good low level switching performance and excellent contact resistance stability.Spare Reed Relays are built onto the circuit board to facilitate easy maintenance with minimum downtime.

PXI Switch - 4x8 2-Wire Matrix Module

ADLINK PXI-7931 is a matrix module with 32 cross-point 2-wire relays (DPDT, 2 Form C). The default configuration of the PXI-7931 itself is a 4-group 2x4 2-wire matrix. With the termination board, TB-6231, users could flexibly choose one of the configurations: one 4x8, two 4x4, one 2x16, two 2x8 and four 2x4. Any contact of the PXI-7931 can connect to other contacts, individually or in combination. The PXI-7931 matrix module simplifies the wiring and makes it easy to change the internal connection path. The contact position of the relays can be changed either by direct software commands or by following the instructions previously stored in the on-board scan list. The scan list advances upon the trigger from external measurement devices, such as a DMM. The scan list could also advance when the scan-delay timer expires. In the PXI-7931, PXI trigger functions are supported and software programmable. Multiple modules can therefore be synchronized without additional field wiring.
