Low Voltage DC / Battery Powered High Voltage Amplifiers

The Falco Systems WMA-005 is a high voltage amplifier that runs from an 24 - 30V DC power supply and can be battery powered if required, e.g. for use in a Faraday cage. Its internal high voltage generator is inductor-free and hence does not spread magnetic interference in sensitive experimental setups. The output noise is impressively low at 3mVrms. For extremely low noise applications where bandwidth is not an issue, a dedicated WMA-005LF version is available that contains an output low pass filter capacitor which reduces the bandwidth to 50Hz, but makes the noise drop to below 0.1mVrms. This bandwidth-limited amplifier is ideal for MEMS or piezo positioning with manual voltage adjustment.

Double Regulation Power Supply
Double regulation power supplies include: DO series, AxN series, ATR series.The Power Supplies of the AxN series are built with the double regulation technique. The first regulation is obtained by the partialization of the grid circulation angle as automatic variac. The second regulation functions as a linear stabilizer with constant dissipated power. As a result, this solution allows to obtain both low power dissipation and, thanks to the linear regulation, excellent output characteristics.DO series Power Supplies are made with the double regulation technique. A linear stabilization circuit is added to a thyristor-controlled bridge, which allows to reduce the power absorbed by the network. The RCPWM2V is a device that converts a standard hobby RC signal (1-2ms pulse) into a proportional analog voltage (0-5V). In many electronics applications the main processor is constantly busy and does not have the ability to address the time-sensitive PWM signal from an RC receiver immediately. This results in signal distortion or a sluggish response due to the extra filtering required. The RCPWM2V provides a simple solution by converting the signal into an analog signal. The main processor can then read the signal whenever it has time.
