Combining bench-top portability with powerful automated test functionality, the midUTS is an extremely versatile yet cost-effective solution for your electronics functional test needs. Comprised of high-performance commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) instruments, along with Bloomy’s medium-density signal-routing PCBAs, a built-in or USB-connected PC, and a pair of high-integrity, production-grade cables connected to an adjacent benchtop fixture, the midUTS can be used in engineering for PCBA bring up, as well as scaled to manufacturing to perform high-volume PCBA and sub-assembly functional testing. It is also ideal for depot diagnostic test, debug, and repair of field returns. The two mass-interconnected cables connect the midUTS to as many as 320 test points on the unit under test (UUT), supporting an extreme wide variety of products using bed-of-nails as well as cable-connected UUT test fixtures. The DS Mini cryocooler brings gas bearing technology to the mini-cryocooler market. The DS (Dual Split) features dual-opposed pressure wave generator pistons and a split cold head to reduce exported vibration and acoustic noise. The optional passive balancer will further reduce cold head vibration for sensitive applications. Both the cold head and wave generator can be mounted in any orientation. Using gas bearings in the pistons as well as the displacer, the DS maintains the core technologies of the well-established integral CryoTel MT, CT and GT cryocoolers. The DS Mini represents an advantage over flexure bearings due to its higher power density, while still offering a longer lifetime compared to rotary compressors and contact seals.

The TMO-2 Transducer Modules is a complete differential amplifier/signal conditioners with self contained power. The units provide excitation, balance and span adjustment via precision 10 turn pots, and shunt calibration necessary to couple a user supplied bridge type transducer to an indicating instrument. Full scale output is specified at plus or minus 10 VDC. The TMO-2 provides a floating shunt calibration circuit which applies calibration at the transducer, thereby eliminating errors due to line losses. The excitation supply incorporates a Wagner Ground to greatly improve Common Mode Rejection. The factory set bandwidth of the module is narrow to improve stability for applications such as weighing scales. The removal of a single capacitor will increase the frequency response DC to 60K Hz for dynamic data applications.

Common Mode Chokes

Common Mode Chokes, as the name implies, are designed to attenuate and filter common mode noise within an electric system. The key parameters for a common mode choke are the current rating (to ensure the part does not overheat within the application), the impedance versus frequency (to ensure it is optimized to attenuate the desired frequencies), the isolation voltage (to ensure it meets board level requirements between the line and neutral phases) and safety isolation (to ensure it meets the safety requirements of the end-application). It is important to remember that common mode chokes cannot saturate in the application (under normal use) as they are designed to ensure that the line and return currents are balanced.
