The IS 13341 : 1992 has laid down the requirements for Ageing Test, Self-Healing Test and Destruction Test on Shunt Capacitors of the self healing type for AC Power Systems. The Ageing Test is to be performed at a specified voltage of 1.25 times the rated voltage for 750 hours. The test is to be followed with a repeated discharge cycle test which involves charging of the capacitor to a DC voltage and discharge of the same through an Inductance. High Temperature Charge Mode Accelerometers
Charge mode output accelerometers from PCB® use piezo-ceramic sensing elements that output an electrostatic charge signal proportional to the applied acceleration. These sensors can operate at extremely high temperatures because they do not contain the built-in signal conditioning electronics that limit the temperature range of ICP® accelerometers. Charge mode sensors are used in the testing of gas and steam turbines, jet engines, high power motors, exhaust systems and automobile engines where temperatures can range from 500° F (260° C) to 1200° F (649° C).

The Kepco HSM series comprises a group of ten models, seven 1000 watt power supplies with outputs from 3.3 volts to 125 volts and three 1500 watt power supplies with outputs from 24 to 125 volts. All models feature current sharing for parallel operation and redundancy applications. Kepco¹s 1000W HSM have a wide-range input (90-277V a-c). The 1500W models operate 180-277V a-c.
