The model MLP Series load cells were designed with economy as first priority. They are a scaled down version of our successful LPO Series Load Cells. MLP-10 through MLP-300 are anodized aluminum and the MLP-500 through MLP-1K are made from 17-4ph heat treated stainless steel. The unique low profile design of the MLP Series provides excellent stability for in line applications for tension and/or compression, while saving space at the same time.

The 7402e low profile PCI Express serial interface provides four serial ports, each individually field-configurable for RS-422 or RS-485 communications. The board uses a 16C954 UART with 128-byte Tx/Rx FIFOs that enables data rates to 921.6K bps for reliable high-speed communications in data intensive applications. This high-performance UART includes 9-bit framing support and is register compatible with legacy 16550 software applications. In addition, the board derives a 62.5 MHz clock from the PCI Express link. This ultra-high speed clock is divided by a flexible 8-bit clock prescalar with 1/8 steps to provide support for the widest range of standard and non-standard baud rates.

Set up data collection parameters (sonar head range, ping rate, filename identifiers, etc.) for a SmartCore-enabled system prior to deployment, then review bathymetric profiles in a 2D or 3D waterfall display with or without navigation correction post mission. When regions of interest are identified, export batches of data files to georeferenced point clouds to be imported by third-party applications.
