Calibration
During the recent years we have made scientific investigations regarding calibration procedures, which have been published and integrated in the European and International standards. The calibration of antennas and field probes in Seibersdorf is done on the reference open area test site, in three different TEM-Cells and in the fully anechoic chamber. The open area test site is one of the best in Europe. Since 1996 we are the accredited calibration laboratory according to Akkreditierung Austria 0612 for antennas and field probes.

Seismic Transducers Calibration System
Calibration of the seismic sensors should be conducted in the low-frequency domain, which means, that the relative method used for calibration of the vibration transducers is not applicable since it does not guarantee the required accuracy level. The problem is that the reference accelerometers have uneven AFR characteristic in the low-frequency domain. Thus, calibration of seismic transducers requires implementation of a different approach.

Disciplined Frequency Standards
2960AR and 2965AR
The 2960AR has a rubidium timebase and provides two 10MHz and one 5MHz sine wave outputs. The 2965AR has a rubidium timebase and provides one 10MHz, one 5MHz and one signal generator output. The signal generator output uses Direct Digital Synthesizer (DDS) technology and is programmable from 100Hz to 50MHz via an RS232 serial interface. Both models can be disciplined by a 1pps input signal and provide a 1pps output. The 1pps input is typically provided by the GPS Frequency output from a device like a smart GPS receiver or antenna. The Novatech GPS1 Smart Antenna is available as an accessory to provide a complete turnkey solution.

MCB Thermal Trip Calibration Test Bench (IEC 60898 Cl 9.10.1.2, Annex I.1, IS)
The test system is designed and customized to carry out 2.55*Intest as per Table 7 (test c) of IEC 60898 (also mentioned for routine testing of MCBs. The test is done at dc current to exactly analyze and correct the bimetallic properties of the MCB as far as thermal tripping is concerned. The unit comes with a pneumatically operated test fixture with in-built dc stepper motor that is controlled by a micro controller / PC to calibrate the breaker into a narrow tripping band programmed by the user.
