PXI RF Relay Modules offer single-pole double-throw (SPDT) and terminated switches. SPDT models include excellent insertion loss, voltage standing-wave ratio (VSWR), and isolation parameters to minimize signal degradation. You can use the onboard relay-count-tracking feature on these models to predict relay lifetime and reduce unexpected system downtime. SPDT models are also well-suited for passing high-order harmonics from PXI RF Signal Upconverter Modules or routing multiple sources to PXI RF Signal Downconverter Modules. The Model 104-IDIO-16 is a 32-channel PC/104 utility board featuring 16 optically isolated inputs and 16 optically isolated solid state outputs. The isolated, non polarized inputs may be driven by either DC sources of 3-31V (or higher by special order) or AC sources at frequencies of 40Hz to 10KHz. Optically isolating the digital inputs from each other, and from the computer, assures smooth, error-free data transmission in noisy, real-world environments. The 16 input channels are available via a 34-pin IDC type header. The fully protected solid state outputs, capable of sourcing 2A each, are inherently more reliable than electromechanical relays and give system architects a more robust product to design with. The solid state outputs are available via a 50 pin IDC type header.

The Pre-Amplifier contains an AC/DC power supply, internal low noise amplifier, and a bias tee to source a DC bias voltage on the RF input connector.To overcome cable loss between the test antenna and the Pre-Amplifier assembly, a remote low noise amplifier (LNA) is mounted directly onto the 10 GHz antenna.
