This NAV test fixture is specific to the requirements for testing Becker Avionics NAV, RMI and RMU products. The panel incorporates specific functionality required for testing these Becker products by the book including special requirements for the RMU 5000 and the IN 3300 series of nav indicators. This BAEE NAV test fixture also facilitates resolver alignment and discrete meter testing through the PG 3300 interface connector. The RM 3300 portion of the panel tests the Becker RMI indicators and allows for sourcing the composite signal from the paired radio or from an external generator. The DME channeling outputs are monitored with discrete LED's as well as the ILS, V/LOC, Glideslope and NAV TEST valids. Discrete test jacks are provided for all the meters and the resolver of the NAV indicator and a dimming source is also provided. When testing the RMU 5000 computer access is through a dedicated connector.

A dual-stage pushing mechanism will allow performing both, the FCT and the ICT test, without the need of changing the test platform and with a low cost fixturing technology. With fast stepped-FFT sweeps resulting from optimized data processing, the SA application provides quick spurious searches over broad frequency ranges. Simultaneous spectrum measurements can be done using up to five test and reference receivers. This multi-channel SA can be used with the internal swept-signal generators for efficient measurements of spurious signals emanating from mixers and frequency converters. The TA-14VG test fixture is based on the requirements for the Integrated Test Procedure for the VG-14A assembly as shown in the OEM maintenance manual. The panel also contains a test point breakout for the units main connector as well as one for the VG-401 base. The VG-401 breakouts provide an in series connection that will allow easy access to the gyro's signals and also provides a way to monitor rotor current. The 40-195 is a 22 Channel Fault Insertion Switch, primarily designed for the simulation of fault conditions in automotive & avionics applications involving the reliability testing of safety critical controllers. It is designed to be able to insert different fault conditions on pairs of signals between the test fixture and the equipment under test: Open-Circuit, Short-Circuit between signal pairs, Short-Circuit between signal pairs and user applied fault conditions e.g. Power or GND. Relays in-line with the signal paths allow open circuit conditions to be simulated on either side or both sides of a signal pair. Relays between each channel pair enable adjacent signals to be shorted, and relays between signal paths and the "Fault" connection allow the application of external user applied fault conditions.
